"Still Standing" is a meditation on individuality and dignity in decline.
These individuals, dried, bent, chipped or past their peak are not hidden or discarded. They are placed at center, elevated, given form and presence.
They are placed against a background that reflects their individual personality and like any personality, not every combination is a perfect match. Some colors embrace them naturally; others create a tension, a slight dissonance. But that tension is intentional. Because we are not always in harmony with the world around us, and yet we stand.
We remain. We are still here.
