I’ve always been convinced that best results are attained when comparing yourself with as many different people, cultures and countries as possible. And, of course, with as many different photographic views and trainings as possible.
These were the reasons I went overseas twice to attend workshops with David Alan Harvey, a Magnum photographer. There I learnt in-depth how to adopt a concept in order to approach a photographic project and since then, thanks to those important experiences, my perception has vividly expanded.
In 2005, I photographed for the ASAM theatre, in Siracusa, Italy, during the classical music season and exhibited at the Mozart Festival at Ortigia, Siracusa.
In 2007, I started the project Tango in Catania, Italy, and exhibited at the first International Tango Festival in Summer 2008.
In 2008, the NYCAB project emerged as a result of the workshop “At home” with David Alan Harvey.
In 2010 I move to NewYork City to study at the ICP.
